Education is a treasure no one can steal from us. Gigi Bolt is a single mother to her daughter, Katherine. She was 16-years old when she got pregnant and started to raise her daughter single-handedly. It sure is a huge challenge working while raising a child but she fought on. Not only did she think of her daughter's future, she also pursued her studies while raising Katherine. She sometimes brings her to classes since there is no one to look after her. It might have been an odd way to learn but her eagerness to finish school is something to look up to. But she did not stop there, she also pursued her master's degree. For a time she had to wait until Katherine finishes high school but so far, Gigi never wavered in her dreams. She continued to finish her master's degree in public administration.
And incidentally her daughter, Katherine, also graduated and got her diploma in Political science. The mother and daughter tandem even requested the school to let them march alongside each other. Isn't that amazing?
After all the hardship they both faced together, achieving success together is sweeter than anything. They both pushed each other despite the fact that Gigi's mother just passed away.
